HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Scituate girls lacrosse defends its Patriot League Fisher title

The Scituate High girls lacrosse team defended its Patriot League Fisher Division title on Saturday.

Junior Charlotte Spaulding (4 assists) and freshman Katie Tarsala scored 6 goals apiece as the Sailors (10-5, 8-1) clinched the league crown. Kate Stone added 2 goals.

Anna Feeney, Grace Dousa, Beth MacCune and Tess Railton added goals.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Dartmouth 12, Whitman-Hanson 1: Bailey Kelly scored the lone goal for the Panthers (3-11).

Cardinal Spellman 15, Matignon 4: Kathryn Lysko tallied a hat trick, which broke the Spellman record for career goals. She now has 118 in her career. Laura Gill, Laci Deftos and Devyn DuBose all tallied their first varsity goals.

Mystic Valley 13, Hull 10: Nina Tiana scored 4 goals in the loss while Maeve White had 2 goals.

Thayer 12, Middlesex 7: The Tigers won the ISL semifinal to advance to Sunday's championship at 5:30 p.m. at Veteran's Stadium in Quincy.

Oliver Ames 13, Attleboro 2: Catie Wilson scored 2 goals and Jess Widdop played well in net in the Tiger victory on Friday.

BOYS LACROSSE

Duxbury 13, Hanover 6: Sam Wien had a hat trick and Delby Lemieux scored 4 goals in the win. Jeb Slimbaugh starred in net.

BASEBALL

Plymouth South 8, Hingham 3: The Panthers (14-3, 13-1) wrapped up the Patriot League Fisher Division title with the win. Junior Nathan Ferry earned his first varsity win while Jack Obert earned the save in 3 innings of work. Sophomore Alex Carroll led the offense as he had a double and 2 RBI. Tommy Sullivan went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI. Matt Cassidy also had 2 hits and drove in a run.

Duxbury 13, Wellesley 9: Junior Nick Ayres hit his Patriot League-leading fifth home run in the win for the Dragons (7-12). Ryan Flaherty hit a grand slam following an intentional walk to Chris Walsh. Walsh earned the win in 2 innings of relief.

Hull 6, Cohasset 5: Matt Mahoney (2-for-3, 3 RBI), Luke Dunham (2-for-3, RBI) and Luke Richardson (2-for-4, RBI) starred as the host Pirates built a 6-0 lead and withstood a 4-run Cohasset rally in the seventh inning.

Thayer 1, Governors 0: The Tigers won the ISL game.

SOFTBALL

Governors 7, Thayer 3: The Tigers lost the ISL game.
