HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Oliver Ames volleyball sweeps Bridgewater-Raynham

The Oliver Ames High girls volleyball team swept Bridgewater-Raynham on Friday.

In the 3-0 win (25-15, 25-18, 25-20), OA junior Rachel Fleischman starred with 12 digs and three aces.

The Tigers also received standout games from sophomore Clare Kavoulis (34 assists), senior Maddie Homer (30 digs), junior Sarah Hilliard (14 kills) and sophomore Ava Barth (10 digs, four aces).

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Duxbury 3, Whitman-Hanson 0: Captains Gracey Gorman and Ruby Scriben played well in the loss for the Panthers (8-6).

Plymouth South 3, Hanover 0: Alexa Rowe, Bella Pineau, and Mary Elliot each had six kills for the Hawks in the loss. Devin Benjamin had 14 assists and three aces.

North Quincy 3, Pembroke 0: The Raiders (13-1) earned the sweep, 25-17, 25-13, 25-11.

Quincy 3, Scituate 0: The Presidents (10-4) won the Patriot League match, 25-9, 25-14, 25-19. Quincy had 34 kills on 27 assists with 9 blocks and 34 digs as a team.

BOYS SOCCER

Quincy 1, Hanover 0: Sophomore Kevin Marko scored the lone goal for the Presidents (3-5-1). The Hawks fall to 5-5-2.

Plymouth North 4, Whitman-Hanson 1: Francis Amani tallied two goals in the win while Ben Young Young and Kevin Riley had solo tallies for North (6-1-3). Evan Gillespie scored on a shot from 35 yards out in the loss for the Panthers (3-7).

Pembroke 7, Plymouth South 1: Declan Crowley and Ethan Sullivan had two-goal games for the Titans (9-0) in the win.

Marshfield 1, Duxbury 0: Cody Holbert scored the lone goal, his 16th of the season, assisted by Will Frye, for the Rams (6-2-1).

Hingham 4, Silver Lake 0: Griffin Coppola scored twice, and Cole Sampson and Aidan Brazel added goals for the Harbormen (7-0-3).

GIRLS SOCCER

Marshfield 2, Duxbury 1: Sammy Zaslaw scored both goals for the Rams in the tough Patriot League win.

Hanover 3, Quincy 0: The Hawks (9-1-1) won the Patriot League match behind a hat trick from Sophia Foley. Natalie Mutschler recorded the clean sheet.

Notre Dame Academy 3, Central Catholic 2: Junior Lindsay Wilson tallied a hat trick for NDA in the win.

Scituate 1, North Quincy 0: The Sailors won the Patriot League match.

Avon 7, South Shore Christian Academy 0: Dahlia Parent helped power the Panthers (5-4) with her first varsity goal. Kate Austrino tallied a hat trick while Emma MacDonald added two goals and an assist. Hanalie Cadet scored the other goal while Micaella Gomes recorded the shutout in net.

Oliver Ames 4, Foxboro 0: Emma Gavin, Mary Cross (two) and Jenna Gilman scored for the Tigers (9-1).

Whitman-Hanson 0, Plymouth North 0: Ava Patete made 13 saves in a shutout effort for the Panthers (3-4-4). North is 6-3-2.

GOLF

Plymouth North 254, Hanover 257: Sam Magnarelli carded a 39 in the win for the Eagles. Hanover junior Ben Cataldo shot a 1-over-par 37 in the loss.

Bridgewater-Raynham 238, Xaverian 241: Richie Thayer shot an even-par 36 as the Trojans (10-3) defeated the Hawks for the second time this season. Jason Coughlin (39) and Pat Concannon (39) also played well.

Abington 130, Carver 110: Carver's Ryan Vincent was the medalist with a 1-under-par 34. Hunter Grafton, Jacob Quinn and Jonathan Halpin played well in the win.

FIELD HOCKEY

Marshfield 3, Plymouth South 0: Erin Boyd scored twice, and Maegan Condon added a goal for the Rams (6-3-1, 5-2 Patriot League). Goalkeeper Emily Herzog had the shutout.

Braintree 3, Milton 1: Bridget Lee scored twice, and Julianna Summers added a goal for the Wamps (9-2). Ella Woods had three assists.
