HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Monomoy girls basketball improves winning streak to six

The Monomoy High girls basketball team used a 19-6 run to complete a comeback victory over St. John Paul II, 52-46, on Thursday.

That marked the sixth consecutive win for the Sharks (11-5).

Monomoy was led by Helen DiGiovanni's 12 points. Jojo Ready also finished in double figures (11), and Melissa Velasquez and Kiki Pigo-Cronin each had 10.

The Lions drop to (6-3).

Girl's Basketball

Sandwich 53, Cohasset 37: The Blue Knights won their 10th straight game and improve to 11-3.

Old Colony 47, Upper Cape 40: The Rams drop to 8-7 this season.

Cape Tech 42, Norfolk Aggie 19: Jada Miranda led the way with 15 points for the Crusaders (7-5) in the win over Norfolk Aggie. Lashae Miranda added 12.

Barnstable 49, Nauset 40: The Red Hawks (4-11) picked up the win on Senior Night over the Warriors (4-11).

Cape Tech 67, Norfolk Aggie 52: The Crusaders improve to 10-4.

Upper Cape 67, Old Colony 63: The Rams picked up their second win in a row, and improve to (9-6).
