High School Roundup: Cambridge cross county takes part in Caldwell Fall Classic

CALDWELL - The Cambridge cross country team competed at the Caldwell Fall Classic Saturday with Nicholas Hatfield leading the Bobcats' effort with a time of 18:57.8.

Other runners for CHS included Keegan Mathers (19:16.9), Ty Reed (19:40.30), Dawson Spratt (20:33.8), Josh Atkinson (21:12.8), Parker Hatfield (23:52.5), Carter Forshey (24:46.3).

Pacing the Lady Bobcats' runners was Trystan King with a time of 24:15.5, followed by Emily Clark (25:02.9), Alivia Stanley (26:08.6), and Emma Brown (34:13.9).

NEXT - Cambridge will host the Charlie Fondale Memorial Cambridge Invitational on Saturday with the high school race starting at 10 a.m.

BOYS GOLF

Bobcats' golf team 13th at Easter District Open

WEST LAFAYETTE - The Cambridge High School golf team shot 378 and finished 13th Saturday in the Eastern District Open at River Greens Golf Course.

Jackson Reed shot 86, Bradyn Gregg 87, Aidan Castello 95, and Jax VanDyne 110.

BOYS SOCCER

Zanesville 3, Cambridge 1

ZANESVILLE - Cambridge High's boys' soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to host Zanesville on Saturday afternoon.

Briley Hamm scored the loan Bobcat goal on an assist from Lucas Parsons. Andrew LePlante had eight saves in goal for the Bobcats.

NEXT - Cambridge travels to St. Clairsville on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
