HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Archbishop Williams girls hockey joins in Bishops CCL title barrage

Archbishop Williams' Caroline Batchelder fires a shot during a game against Duxbury at Canton Sportsplex on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023.

Last week, the Archbishop Williams High boys basketball and hockey teams ended league-title droughts.

The boys hockey team claimed their first Catholic Central League title since 2013. For the boys basketball team, it was the Bishops first title since 2006.

The Archies girls hockey team saw how fun that was, and decided to join in on the party. With a 7-1 win over Bishop Stang on Wednesday, the Bishops wrapped up the league title with an unblemished record in conference play. The title is the first in program history.
