>> Notes: Passed for more than 300 yards six times, including a season-high 442 yards, on a season-high 58 attempts, in Week 2 against Shallowater.

EZEKIEL SALDANA, RB

PECOS, 5-8, 165, SR.

>> Key Stats: Carried the ball 253 times for 2,149 yards and 26 touchdowns; caught two passes for 10 yards and one score.

>> Notes: The workhorse for the Eagles, Saldana averaged 214.9 yards per game and had two games with more than 300 yards rushing (344 against Kermit on Sept. 3 and 335 against Sweetwater on Oct. 22).

CHRIS BRAZZELL, WR

MIDLAND LEGACY, 6-4, 175, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 44 receptions for 756 yards and 11 touchdowns to help the Rebels win the District 2-6A championship.

>> Notes: A prime target of Rebels' quarterback Marcos Davila, Brazzell caught 14 passes for 210 yards and six scores in Midland Legacy's final three District 2-6A games.

JA'QUAN RICHARDSON, WR

PERMIAN, 6-0, 185, JR.

>> Key Stats: Finished the regular season with 27 receptions for 617 yards and nine touchdowns.

>> Notes: A true threat to go the distance each time the football was in his hands, he had three games with more than 100 yards receiving, including a 143-yard output against crosstown rival Odessa High on Oct. 8. Was a potent return man for the Panthers as well with 489 yards in punt and kickoff returns.

BRADEN DUNLAP, WR

WINK, 5-10, 140, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 46 receptions for 741 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Wildcats.

>> Notes: Dunlap, like most of the players in Class 2A, played both sides of the football, but did the majority of his damage for the Wildcats on offense with a trio of games with more than 100 yards receiving, including a season-high 151 against Alpine in Week 3.

TERRANCE SAMUEL, WR

ODESSA HIGH, 5-10, 160, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 50 receptions for 720 yards and six touchdowns in the Bronchos' revamped offense.

>> Notes: Twice had games with more than 160 yards receiving (Midland High, Wolfforth Frenship) and his total receptions are second all-time in a single season for Odessa High.

HARRIS SEWELL, OL

PERMIAN, 6-5, 305, JR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 28 pancake blocks, 18 knockdowns, allowed no sacks and graded out at 84 percent.

>> Notes: Sewell played most of the season at right guard, but moved to center for two games because of injuries on the Panthers' offensive line. Sewell is a dominating force and it's not hard to understand why a majority of quarterback Rodney Hall's yards were accumulated over the right side.

GARRETT WHITEHILL, OL

MIDLAND LEGACY, 6-1, 285, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 79 pancake blocks, 35 knockdowns and graded out at 96 percent.

>> Notes: Became an internet sensation with a pancake block during the Rebels' contest against Arlington Martin on Sept. 10. Led the way for a team that gained more than 5,000 yards on offense.

ELIJAH ESCAJEDA

FORT STOCKTON, 6-0, 230, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 35 pancake blocks.

>> Notes: Escajeda was a two-way player for the Panthers, moving to the defensive line when the offense was off the field. He finished with 47 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 17 quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery to help the Panthers.

MACK PAYNE, OL

WINK, 5-11, 205, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 33 pancake blocks and graded out at 92 percent.

>> Notes: Payne, one of the Wildcats' leaders, was a key factor for an offense that averaged nearly 450 yards per game. He then stepped over to the defensive line and made 38 tackles and had eight tackles for a loss.

JACOB ALSTON, OL

MONAHANS, 6-4, 270, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished with 40 pancake blocks and 36 knockdowns to lead the Loboes' offensive line.

>> Notes: As Monahans gets more familiar with its wide-open offense, Alston was a key component of keeping quarterback Cheno Navarrette upright, giving him time to move the ball down the field. Monahans averaged 365 yards on offense each week.

GUNNER MEADE, PK

MIDLAND LEGACY, 6-2, 185, SR.

>> Key Stats: Finished 54-of-59 on extra points, 3-of-4 on field goals and touchbacks on 52-of-60 kickoffs.

>> Notes: The most consistent kicker in the Permian Basin the past two seasons, Meade makes a repeat appearance and helped the Rebels win the District 2-6A crown outright..
