Here's who made the coaches 5A All-State football team

Eight Monroe County football players were named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association Class 5A All-State teams on Monday.

The Senior All-State Team includes Bloomington North quarterback Reece Lozano and offensive lineman Marcus Wynalda and Bloomington South offensive lineman Sam Young and linebacker Dasan McCullough, who was listed at the 'athlete' position on defense.

It is Lozano's third time honored by the IFCA after making the Junior Team the previous two seasons. Wynalda is a three-year starter who also saw time on the defensive front while Lozano tossed for 1,558 yards and ran for 453 and eight scores. Young was a two-year starter who helped South rush for over 2,000 yards. McCullough, an Indiana University recruit, had 55 tackles, including a team high 6 for loss, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

Making the Junior All-State Team were South linebacker Tysen Smith and DB Daeh McCulllugh on defense and running back Cody Mikulich and tight end Aidan Steinfeldt.

Smith had two sacks and 44 tackles while doubling as a starting tight end. McCullough had 24 tackles and two picks. Mikulich was North's leading rusher (1,137 yards) and receiver (610) while scoring 28 total touchdowns. Steinfeldt had 456 yards and five TD's receiving.
