Here's a list of Milwaukee-area bars and restaurants with heated outdoor seating, patios
Summer is officially over and fall's cool weather is here, but patio season isn't done yet.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Wisconsin, bars and restaurants around Milwaukee have heated up their patios to keep outdoor seating a safer and more viable option longer.
Here's a list of places you can visit in Milwaukee that have heated outdoor seating. If we missed a bar or restaurant with heaters, please email jsfeat@journalsentinel.com.
CITY OF MILWAUKEE
BAY VIEW
At Random
2501 S. Delaware Ave.; (414) 481-8030
At Random has seven heated cocktail huts throughout the winter. Beginning the week after Thanksgiving, At Random has an outdoor pop-up bar called the Magical Forest with additional, decorated heated huts.
C-viche
2165 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.; (414) 800-7329
This Latin American, Peruvian restaurant has an outdoor tent with heaters, and propane fire tables for outdoor dining.
Centraal Grand Café & Tappery
2306 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.; (414) 755-0378
The garden courtyard here has a large, heated tent with clear roof panels as of early November. Centraal’s enclosed and heated “Streetcar on Lincoln '' has private rooms by reservation for dining. Centraal will continue to have patio seating along Lincoln Avenue on nice days, but only the streetcar and courtyard will be heated. The European-style eatery has live music on Wednesdays.
BRADY STREET
Lemonade Stand at Jack's American Pub

Jack's American Pub has a patio named the "Lemonade Stand" on the second floor. The Lemonade Stand has its own bar with five tables and overhead heaters.
Nomad World Pub
1401 E. Brady St.; (414) 224-8111
Nomad World Pub has a large outdoor area with two bars and a heated parklet patio that is open through mid-November. The main bar has heaters overhead, and multiple heaters are place throughout the patio tables.

EAST SIDE
Café Hollander

Heaters have been added to the patio, and the dome village of four heated domes to reserve will be back in late November. Outdoor heaters and a fire pit will remain. The Hollander Chalet on the Parklet is being renovated for extended dining and can be booked for parties up to 30.
Crossroads Collective and Shanghai

This east side food hall has multiple vendors including Scratch Ice Cream, Egg & Flour pasta, and Triciclo Peru Peruvian food. The outdoor patio has four heaters surrounding 12 tables, keeping diners warm. It's expected to operate through winter.
Attached to Crossroads in a secret entrance off Black Cat Alley is Shanghai speakeasy. It has heated outdoor seating.

Hooligan's Super Bar

Hooligan's Super Bar, known for its happy hour and bar fare, has a covered outside seating area with overhead heaters.
Izzy Hops
2311 N. Murray Ave.; (414) 249-4489
Izzy Hops has two outdoor dining options for customers. In front, the sidewalk seating has two heaters around six tables. In the back of the bar is a three-season room that feels like a patio. Windows can be opened to provide more airflow throughout the room.
Stubby’s Gastrogrub & Beer Bar

This tavern has a patio that overlooks the Milwaukee River. Heaters were installed to keep the patio open longer.
KING DRIVE
Oak Barrel Public House

The sidewalk patio at Oak Barrel has heaters to let customers sit outside year round.
RIVERWEST
Black Husky Brewing

Black Husky Brewing has two long propane fire tables with enough seating for about a dozen people around each.
Company Brewing

This brewery has four outdoor heaters and a fire pit to keep customers at more than a dozen outdoor tables warm. The patio is tucked on the side of the building, making the patio feel even more cozy.

THIRD WARD
Cafe Benelux

The heated tent on the rooftop is ready for diners, and the street-level "Lux winter porch" under a heated canopy that's open at the ends for ventilation can seat 20 to 25 diners.
The rooftop domes will return in late November.
Merriment Social

Merriment Social serves casual dinners and brunch and has a large selection of cocktails and taps. Its patio has several heaters.
Smoke Shack
332 N. Milwaukee St.; (414) 431-1119
Smoke Shack extended its outdoor deck for additional seating at a distance. Plus, it added a heated tent to extend the shack and keep the wind down.
Tied House

This Third Ward spot with appetizers and craft cocktails has a large garden patio with heaters.
WALKER'S POINT
O'Lydia's

This Irish pub has a fenced patio with four heaters for about a dozen tables. A four-season room has windows to allow air flow.
Shaker's Cigar Bar

Shaker's has three stories of patio. The patio, on the rooftop of the four-story buildingprovides a 360-degree view of Walker's Point. Each level of seating has multiple space heaters.
Steny’s

The sports pub has a fully enclosed back patio with tables, shuffleboard and cornhole. The patio is heated during the winter.

The food truck park has a large patio with heaters. It also has enclosed areas available for reservations to stay even warmer during winter.

Brother's Bar and Grill

This college bar, remodeled in 2020, now has a 2,000-square-foot beer garden. The enclosed beer garden allows more airflow than indoors but is heated and surrounded by walls and a retractable roof.

It is open 8 p.m. to bar close on Mondays, and 7 p.m. to bar close Wednesdays through Saturdays.

This downtown late-night spot has a heated outdoor bar, with other heaters throughout the patio to distance and stay warm.
MILWAUKEE COUNTY
GREENFIELD
The Brass Tap

The Brass Tap serves food and has more than 80 draft beers. Its outdoor patio underwent reconstruction this summer after a pole fell onto the space. The owners said they will reassess the patio in the spring, but for now, there is one working heater and about four tables available outside.
WAUWATOSA
Cafe Hollander

The patio will have heaters and some seating all winter at this European-style cafe with a focus on Belgian beers, even after the restaurant's "winter experience" is added.
Camp Bar

This up-north themed bar has a two story patio with an outdoor fireplace and other outdoor heaters.
Frank & Larry’s Buckatabon Tavern & Supper Club

Heaters and patio seating will be available through the fall at this spot serving modern takes on Wisconsin classics.
Ristorante Bartolotta's La Terrazza

The fine-dining Italian restaurant has heaters and blankets on request for its customers on the three-walled patio. A fixed-price, four-course menu of regional Italian dishes is served; the region changes every month or so.

The patio will be open with heaters and at least some seating all winter at this European-style cafe, where Belgian beers are on draft. A "winter experience" will be added to the patio.

Daily Taco, which serves made-from-scratch menu items influenced by the cuisine of Guadalajara and western Mexico, has a heated, ventilated tent behind the restaurant.

Bilda's Friess Lake Pub

Bilda's sports pub has a double-deck patio that added heaters for both decks, along with two gas-powered fire pits to sit around.
WAUKESHA COUNTY
BROOKFIELD

Heaters are in place on the patios and rooftop bar. A dome village of four heated domes to reserve is coming in late November.
LAKE COUNTRY

This wine bar and shop has a 400-square-foot patio with umbrellas and two heaters.
