Here's a list of Halloween activities set for Pueblo, surrounding areas in 2021

Oct. 21—As Halloween draws near, Pueblo and its surrounding areas are ramping up their All Hallow's Eve offerings.

The following is a list of Halloween activities for ghosts and ghouls of all ages.

The Pueblo Zoo, 3455 Nuckolls Ave., is set to host ZooBoo Oct. 22-24 with trick-or-treating booths, candy, scavenger hunts, crafts, games, costume contests, parades and prizes.

The event will kick off with a sneak-peek BooBonus members-only event from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 22. Members will receive a complimentary treat bag while supplies last, extra treats and have a chance to join in some fun and creepy Halloween activities.

ZooBoo opens to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 23-24. Cost is $4 for children ages 3 to 17 or $12 for adults, while members and children under 3 are admitted free.

The Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, 4218 County Road 3A, is ready to host Boo at the Bridge from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23.

More than 40 businesses and non-profits from the local area will set up booths and hand out candy. Special entertainment includes music by Deja Bluz; Nature's Educators will have owls, snakes and spiders; and The B-Box School of Dance.

Cost is $13 for anyone ages 4 and older at the door or $11 if purchased online at booatthebridge.com, or $8 for season pass holders. Children 3 and younger are admitted free.

The Nature & Wildlife Discovery Center, 5200 Nature Center Road, is gearing up for its second annual Autumn Adventure Hayride from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 23.

The event includes a festive ride through the changing colors of the cottonwood trees along the Arkansas River, warm spiced cider and homemade cookies, plus a chance to meet the resident owls.

Costumes are encouraged but optional. Cost is $5 for members or $10 for non-members.

The annual "Healthy Halloween" event for differently-abled children ages 5 and younger is set for 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 26 at Praise Assembly Church, 2000 Troy Ave.

The free event will feature healthy snacks, games and activities designed with the children's needs in mind. The event is organized by Colorado State University Pueblo nursing students as part of a community project overseen by Professor Lynn Procell

The event offers healthier options for children to make Halloween memories.

The Pueblo West Metro District and Jami Baker Orr's Keller Williams Performance Realty are set to celebrate Halloween by offering several drive-through "Trick or Treat" options Oct. 31.

The Pueblo West Parks and Recreation staff will host its drive-through event from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at Lovell Park, 340 E. Hahns Peak Court. Children should wear their costumes for a chance to win a trophy, plus goodie bags filled with toys and candy will be given away. Also from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 31, Baker Orr and staff will have a drive-through candy giveaway at 154 S. McCulloch.

The Pueblo West Fire Department will offer a drive-through trick or treat event from 6 to 8 p.m.Oct. 31 at both Fire Station 1, 51 E. Hahns Peak Ave. or Fire Station 3, 729 E. Gold Drive. Goodie bags will be handed out by the firefighters.

Puebo police to host drive-thru Trunk or Treat Oct. 29

The Pueblo Police Department will host a drive-thru Trunk or Treat from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the parking garage next to the police department between 100 and 200 Main St.

The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo will host a trick-or-treat event on Oct. 30.

The event is called "Fright Night along the Pueblo Riverwalk" and will feature a costume contest beginning at 2 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m.;

The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo is hosting a Trick-or-Treat event for the community, trick-or-treating, $5 boat rides and a mini pumpkin patch.

The Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience, 44895 W U.S. Highway 50, is gearing up for its "Stomp & Chomp" event from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 31.

The event will feature trick-or-treating, a 1:30 p.m. costume contest, scavenger hunt and more. Pumpkins can be picked and decorated by the first 100 children. For more information, call 275-2726.

Aberdeen Baptist Church will host a Trunk or Treat event in the church parking lot (at 301 Cleveland Street on Halloween beginning at 5 p.m.

The Pueblo community is invited to attend this fun, safe event for the whole family.

The event is free.

First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th St. will host its Trunk or Treat event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.
