Who are the Herald News Basketball Players of the Week for Jan. 30-Feb. 4?

FALL RIVER — The 2022-23 high school winter season is at the halfway point of the season for Greater Fall River sports teams.

Here's your chance to vote for the top basketball players from Jan. 30 to Feb. 4.

Somerset Berkley's Finn Bjork won the male Player of the Week for Jan. 23-28 and was the top vote-getter. Somerset Berkley's Mia Gentile gathered the most vote, winning female Player of the Week honors.

Each week during the high school season, the Herald News will conduct a Player of the Week poll.

There will be two winners, one for a male athlete and female athlete.

Here are the nominees for the week of Jan. 30 to Feb. 4:

Miquel Pimental, Atlantis Charter

Pimental led the Tritons in scoring with a team-high 15 points against Holbrook.

Alex Krynicki, Bishop Connolly

Krynicki led the Cougars with a team-high 18 points against Bishop Stang.

Jah Stephenson, Bishop Connolly

Stephenson finished with 17 points for the Cougars against Bishop Stang.

Landon Cayton, Case

Cayton led the way for the Cardinals with a team-high 17 points against Seekonk. He also finished with a game-high 24 points against Somerset Berkley.

Liberty Gazaille, Case

Gazaille had a team-high 14 points for the Cardinals against Seekonk.

Jamie Moniz, Case

Moniz led Case with a team-high 17 points against Somerset Berkley.

Hannah Martin, Diman

Martin led the way for the Bengals with a team-high 14 points in their win over Tri-County.

Sam Perry, Diman

Perry led the Bengals with a team-high 15 points against Tri-County. He also had a team-high 17 points against Blue Hills.

Avery Rounds, Diman

Rounds scored a team-high 14 points for the Bengals in a home win against Blue Hills.

Julia Hargraves, Durfee

Hargraves paved the way for the Hilltoppers, scoring a team-high 14 points against Attleboro.

Eric Lucas, Durfee

Lucas had a team-high 12 points for the Hilltoppers against Attleboro.

Devontae Stewart, Durfee

Stewart netted a team-high 12 points for the Hilltoppers against Attleboro.

Brendan McDonald, Somerset Berkley

McDonald had a team-high 20 points for the Raiders in their win over Apponequet.

Mason Medeiros, Somerset Berkley

Medeiros had a team-high 16 points for the Raiders in a win against Case.

Gabriella Nugent, Somerset Berkley

Nugent added 20 points, including six three-pointers for the Raiders in a win against Westport. She also added 14 points against Case.

Dom Taylor, Somerset Berkley

Taylor recorded 16 points for the Raiders in a win against Case.

Owen Boudria, Westport

Boudria had a game-high 25 points and nine steals in a win against Bishop Connolly.

Cam Leary, Westport

Leary had a career-high 17 points for the Wildcats in a win against Bishop Connolly.

Max Morotti, Westport

Morotti had 17 points and eight rebounds for the Wildcats in a win against Bishop Connolly.

Korynne Holden, Westport

Holden netted a team-best 19 points, had five steals and three assists against Somerset Berkley.

Leah Sylvain, Westport

Sylvain finished with 15 points, six steals, four assists for the Wildcats in a win against Bishop Connolly. She also finished with 17 points against Somerset Berkley.
