Saturday Night Live” star Heidi Gardner has always found ways, subtle and obvious, to show her love for her hometown Kansas City Chiefs.

The Notre Dame de Sion alum has tucked a Chiefs plastic cup on a shelf in a skit. She has proclaimed on a podcast that her “biggest dream” is for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes to host the show, or maybe co-host with tight end Travis Kelce.

On this weekend’s “SNL,” she doubled down with not one, but two Chiefs shoutouts.

The host was Michael B. Jordan, who stars in and directs the upcoming boxing drama “Creed III,” so Gardner used the opportunity to reprise her breakout role — Angel, who is “Every Boxer’s Girlfriend From Every Movie About Boxing Ever.” (It’s the character Gardner used in her audition to join the “SNL” cast.)

Once again, Angel laments the struggles of boyfriend Tommy. But this time, she hooks up with a new guy, Adonis Creed. And somehow, though Angel has a thick Boston accent, she yells, “Go Chiefs!”

At the end of each show, when the entire cast and guests gather on stage, Gardner often wears a Chiefs shirt. This time it was full-body fandom with overalls dotted with the Chiefs logo and a Chiefs jersey underneath.

As Jordan and musical guest Lil Baby bid farewell, there was Gardner, bouncing up and down and clapping. For the show? Probably. For the Chiefs? Definitely.
