During the fifth show of his six-night Austin residency, world-renowned artist Harry Styles endorsed Democrat Beto O’Rourke in the race for Texas governor, drawing the crowd’s attention to a "Beto for Texas" sticker on his guitar.

O’Rourke was then pictured on the big screen enjoying the concert from the crowd, while wearing a maroon Uvalde hat.

According to her Instagram, Gov. Greg Abbott's daughter Audrey Abbott was present at the Harry Styles concert in Austin the night the singer endorsed her father's opponent.

O’Rourke had hosted a rally with country music legend Willie Nelson earlier that day in South Austin. Nelson also endorsed O'Rourke.

The endorsements came two days after O'Rourke faced off with Abbott in the only scheduled debate of the race.

The Republican National Committee criticized the Styles endorsement.

“Beto has shown Texans that his priority is cozying up to coastal elites and celebrities. We’ll see in a few short weeks how many are left standing around him when he loses for the third time in November,” RNC spokesperson and Texas Communications Director Macarena Martinez said.
