Halloween 2019: 'Today' show co-hosts recreate iconic dance moments with group costume

Everybody dance now!

The "Today" show co-hosts unveiled their annual group Halloween costumes on Thursday morning, and this year's theme was "Everybody Dance Today," with each of the NBC morning show's personalities wearing a different dance-themed costume for the spookiest day of the year.

Al Roker and Craig Melvin were the first to debut their costumes dressed as Carlton and Will Smith from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."

Next were Peter Alexander as Kevin Bacon's character Ren in "Footloose" and Dylan Dreyer as dancing Elaine from "Seinfeld."

Perhaps stealing the show were Willie Geist and Jenna Bush Hager: Bush Hager returned from maternity leave to be the Baby to Geist's Johnny as they reenacted the iconic dance scene from "Dirty Dancing."

Sheinelle Jones' costume and dancing were also wildly impressive, with the morning show star channeling Janet Jackson during her "Rhythm Nation" era. Towards the end of the entire costume reveal, Jackson herself thanked Jones for the tribute, which left the "Today" co-host in tears.

Co-anchor Hoda Kotb stepped into John Travolta's dancing shoes as Tony in "Saturday Night Fever," while Savannah Guthrie was joined by Carson Daly as Sandy and Danny at the end of "Grease."

Guthrie got an endorsement from the original Sandy herself, Olivia Newton-John, who told her to "have fun" and "have lots of attitude" as she recreated the iconic black leather look from the beloved film.

While Lester Holt didn't partake in the group costume this year, he narrated the entire sequence.

This year's "Today" show Halloween costume reveal follows years of highly-anticipated reveals from over the years: Between "Star Wars"-inspired costumes, channeling the royal family and stepping into the shoes of country music's biggest stars, the "Today" gang has always gone all-out for their coordinated costumes each year.
