Cris Carter is out at Fox Sports, according to Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand.

As noted by Awful Announcing, Fox Sports already scraped Carter’s bio page from its website. He was reportedly suspended “pending the results of a Fox investigation,” The Big Lead reported over the weekend. Further reports said Carter was unhappy he was left off of “Thursday Night Football” pregame coverage this year.

Carter was a panelist on the FS1 morning debate show “First Things First” with Nick Wright and Jenna Wolfe since its inception in 2017. He had not appeared on the network since Oct. 30, per Ourand.

The Hall of Fame receiver joined Fox in December 2016 after parting ways with ESPN. He was there for eight years. In 2015, he took heat for telling NFL rookies to make sure they had a “fall guy” in their crew for any issues. He later apologized.

Carter played 16 NFL seasons, 13 with the Minnesota Vikings. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.

Chris Canty, the former New York Giants lineman, has been on the show in Carter’s place.
