H.S. Roundup: Lancaster golfers compete in a pair of invitationals

Lancaster golf: The Lancaster Gales kicked their season off by competing in the Pickerington Central Invitational at Turnberry Golf Course. The Gales shot a 351, coming in 16th out of 20 teams.

Leading the Gales was Riley Senften who finished with a 79. Parker Cohen shot an 88, Jay Niceswanger and Gabe Betts had 92s, Josiah Lauderbaugh shot 99, and Zane Brengman finished with a 101.

The Gales dropped their scores in their second match by shooting a 339 as a team at the Mt Vernon Invitational held at Chapel Hill Golf Course.

The Gales placed 18th out of 21 in a loaded field. The Gales were led by Niceswanger with an 81. Senften shot an 84, Cohen and Lauderbaugh shot 87s, and Betts had a 93.
