Green Bay police seek 2 suspects from April 30 homicide; third suspect in custody

GREEN BAY - Police are asking for the public's help in locating two suspects from an April homicide on Green Bay's west side.

The suspects are Alejandro Cantu, 31, and Gustavo Cantu, 39, both of Green Bay, according to an advisory issued by the Green Bay Police Department on Monday morning. They have been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and use of a dangerous weapon in Brown County Circuit Court. A third suspect, Jacob Ventura of Green Bay, is already in custody and is facing same charges.

At 5:04 a.m. April 30, police responded to a report of gunshots and a person lying in the road at Western and Perkins avenues. The victim, 34-year old Randall Denny of Hobart, was found nonresponsive once the police arrived at the scene. Denny was pronounced dead a short time later.

Witnesses reported multiple people fleeing the scene immediately after gunshots were heard.

On June 23, police filed complaints and authorized arrest warrants for all three suspects.

The medical examiner determined Denny died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the complaint.

The police said the Cantus are aware police are searching for them and detectives will be investigating information on anyone aiding and abetting the Cantu's attempts to avoid apprehension.
