Grant County mails out 2021 property tax statements

Mar. 3—EPHRATA — If you're a property owner in Grant County, you will soon receive your 2021 property tax bill, if you haven't already.

According to a statement from Grant County Treasurer Darryl Pheasant, 2021 tax statements for real and personal property, as well as manufactured homes, have been mailed out, including to property owners with delinquent taxes.

Payments are due April 30, either for the entire amount or for those opting to make two payments for half of the tax bill. The second half payment will be due on Nov. 1, Pheasant said.

Tax payers with multiple properties can write out a single check for the total amount, but should include coupons from all the parcels they are paying for, Pheasant said.

Taxes can be mailed in or deposited directly in the treasurer's drop box in the Grant County Courthouse (35 C St. NW) parking lot, off First Avenue Northwest, in Ephrata.

Property owners in the Moses Lake Irrigation and Rehabilitation District will not pay an assessment to the district this year, following a recent ruling by Grant County Superior Court Judge David Estudillo declaring the district was unlawfully levying a tax and Pheasant did not have to collect it.

If you have any questions regarding your tax bill, or do not receive it by March 10, contact the Grant County Treasurer's Office at 754-2011, ext. 4299.
