Grand Forks places two on girls hockey all-state team

Mar. 4—The Grand Forks KnightRiders' girls hockey team's top scoring defender and top scoring forward each landed on the North Dakota all-state girls hockey team, which was released Wednesday.

Senior defender Hannah Gray was selected after finishing fourth on the team in scoring with 14 assists.

Senior forward Haley Richards was picked after scoring 25 goals and adding 15 assists, which was good for fifth in the state in scoring.

Devils Lake senior goalie Molly Black was named an all-state goalie, as well as the state's Outstanding Senior Athlete of the Year.

Grand Forks coach Alex Hedlund, whose team finished fourth at state, was named the Coach of the Year.
