Grand Forks Herald area North Dakota Top 10 girls basketball players to watch

Dec. 4—The Herald selected the Top 10 players to watch from our coverage area.

Rylen Burgess, Cavalier: The 5-foot-9 junior was an all-Region 2 honoree last season. She averaged 14.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Rachel Dahlen, Devils Lake: The 6-foot-2 senior center was an all-Eastern Dakota Conference pick last year after averaging 10.9 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

Walker Demers, Grafton: The 6-foot-3 junior center, who has committed to the University of South Dakota, averaged 13 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game last season.

Myona Dauphinais, Four Winds-Minnewaukan: The 5-foot-7 senior guard was an all-Region 4 pick last season. She averaged 16.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game. She also shot 79 percent from the free-throw line.

Morgan Freije, Langdon-E-M: The volleyball standout is also a force in basketball. She was named all-Region 4 last year after averaging 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.0 steals per game. She shot 43 percent from the floor.

Libby Koerber, Thompson: The 5-foot-7 guard was an all-Region 2 choice last season after averaging 8.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Quinn Neppl, Benson County: The second-team all-state pick from a year ago averaged 22.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.0 assists per game. The 5-foot-8 senior shot 48 percent from inside the arc and 36 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

Ezura Rainbow, Four Winds-Minnewaukan: The 5-foot-10 senior center was a second-team all-state selection last season after averaging 16.2 points, 11.6 rebounds. 2.8 assists, 2.9 steals and 3.8 blocks per game. She also shot 78 percent from the foul line.

Rylee Satrom, May-Port-C-G: The 5-foot-7 sophomore is a multi-sport star, having been named an all-region volleyball player this fall and an all-state softball player last spring. She also earned all-region honors in basketball last winter.

Reagan Zerface, May-Port-C-G: New to May-Port-C-G from Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page due to that co-op being dissolved, Zerface, a 5-foot-7 sophomore, averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds last season en route to all-Region 2 honors.
