Grand Canyon men's basketball, after 2 road wins, returns home to face UTSA

Grand Canyon's men's basketball team, after beating Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount in its first two road games, is back at home Thursday night.

University of Texas at San Antonio (5-3) at GCU (6-1), Thursday night, 7, FOX 10 Xtra, ESPN+

About the Antelopes: They're coming off a 78-72 win over Loyola Marymount with former Arizona State players Holland Woods II and Taeshon Cherry coming through. Woods had 24 points, making four of seven 3-pointers, and Cherry had 12 points, six steals, five rebounds and four assists. Guard Jovan Blacksher Jr., had 20 points and only one turnover.

About the Roadrunners: This is the second time in the last 10 years that they've won five of their first eight games. Junior guard Dhieu Deing had 26 points in a win over Lamar (which is now in the Western Athletic Conference) and a career-high 27 points and 11 rebounds in a win over St. Mary's (Texas). Deing leads the team with 17.4 points and 6.4 rebounds a game.
