Grambling State released its 2022 football schedule, and first season for new coach Hue Jackson.
The Tigers will travel away from Exit 81 for three non-conference games to start the season that includes the first matchup as head coaches between Jackson and Jackson State's Deion Sanders.
Although both teams are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, the game will be a non-conference contest.
The road battles continue for Grambling as it travels to Daytona Beach, Florida, to play Bethune-Cookman and then a neutral site game in the State Fair Classic against Prairie View A&M in Dallas.
After six road games, the Tigers are set to host three games in Eddie G. Robinson Stadium beginning with Florida A&M on Oct. 15. The three home games for Grambling wraps up with its homecoming contest against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 5.
After traveling to Texas Southern, Grambling will wrap up the season with the 49th Annual Bayou Classic in New Orleans on Nov. 26 against Southern.
The Tigers have a spring game scheduled for April 2. No time has been announced.
