Graduation ceremonies planned in Sturgis area: What to know

The end of the 2021-22 school year is upon us and with it, area seniors will take part in graduation ceremonies.

In several districts, ceremonies are planned for tonight (May 26) while others are in the coming weeks.

Burr Oak High School already held its graduation Sunday when 13 seniors graduated. Valedictorians were Brooklyn Hernandez, Branson Hernandez and Kylah Davis.

Here’s a look at information regarding other upcoming graduations:

  • Sturgis – June 5, 2 p.m., high school football field. Rain date is June 6 at 5:30 p.m. 189 graduates.

  • Bronson – May 26, 7 p.m., high school football field or gym, weather permitting. 70 graduates. Valedictorian is Isaac Grate and salutatorian is Reagan Mayer.

  • Centreville – May 26, 7 p.m., high school gym. 72 graduates. Valedictorian is Kelsey Beachey and salutatorian is Isabella Kangas.

  • Colon – June 5, 1 p.m., high school football field. 31 graduates. Valedictorian is Alex Stoll and salutatorian is Isabelle Johnson.

  • Constantine – May 26, 7 p.m., high school gym. 95 graduates. Valedictorian is Autumn Herlein and salutatorian is Emilee Miller.

  • Lakeland – June 3, 7 p.m., high school main gym. About 145 graduates. Valedictorians are Pilar Canedo, Lillian Schackow and Madison Targgart.

  • Mendon – May 26, 7 p.m., high school gym. 40 graduates.

  • Three Rivers – May 26, 7 p.m., high school main gym. 139 graduates.

  • White Pigeon – May 27, 7 p.m., high school gym. 43 graduates. Top scholars are Madison Krull and Jezzariah Ryall.
