Throughout this NBA season, accurate daily fantasy information has been tough to come by, especially for basketball. CO-VID scratches, late news, etc. It’s been a nightmare! I did some thinking on how to produce the most accurate DFS write-up given the fact that the most prudent DFS information is typically released 30 minutes to one hour prior to lock. Enter “THE GPP Pivot”. This article will focus on ONE great GPP pivot play using the most updated/relevant information. From 6:00 - 7:00 PM ET, lookout for THE GPP Pivot of the Night. Let's start things off with Goga Bitadze.

The GPP Pivot of the Night

Goga Bitadze - Indiana Pacers (vs. New Orleans Pelicans)

Jonas Valanciunas will be one of the highest rostered players on tonight’s DFS slate. Pointsbet.com has the O/U at 216 with the Pelicans favored by - 4 points. With Brandon Ingram confirmed out tonight, the NBC Sports Edge Optimizer has Valanciunas projected for 40.6 DK FP at a salary of $8,300. Indiana will be without Sabonis, Brogdon, and possibly now, Caris LeVert (along with other role players including T.J. McConnell, & Myles Turner). Indiana had a stellar game with this squad against the Golden State Warriors last week. They proved capable of performing without their stars. The offense ran through Bitadze in their win against the Warriors. Bitadze played extremely well in this matchup. His confidence was through the roof. Goga has a salary of $6,200 on DK, $2,100 lower than Valanciunas. He has surpassed 30 minutes and 33 DK FP in each of his last two. Tonight, we see a ceiling game from him meaning 45+ DKFP. Most people will not invest in Jonas V. and Bitadze in the same lineup. It just doesn't make sense to. Because of this, I believe Goga (a very talented DFS producer) is going to be woefully under-rostered. Bitadze has the same upside that Valanciunas does. Don’t be surprised if New Orleans struggles tonight. Yes, missing your best player creates offensive usage hikes but it also can hinder a team's cohesion and chemistry. I believe the latter is more likely. Give me Bitadze and Indiana ML + 145. Lock it in!

Note: Always remember to hedge high exposure plays (usually with their backups). If Goga does not perform, Oshae Brissett will. Brissett is getting significantly more usage as of late with Sabonis sidelined.
