This Gorgeous Bottle Contains a Dry Texturizing Spray That Leaves My Hair Tousled, Not Crunchy

For anyone who hasn't already figured it out, I-just-woke-up-like-this perfectly tousled hair is one of the biggest beauty scams. Those undone waves seen on celebrities like Hailey Bieber and Alexa Chung are usually the work of a flat iron and a texturizing spray, if not a whole team of hair pros.
But let's start with the spray: Not all texturizing sprays are created the same, and some can leave hair dry, crunchy, sticky, and full of tangles. After a ton of trial and error and less-than-stellar results from a handful of sprays, I had found The One: a lightweight texturizer that creates the illusion of rolling out of bed with effortless waves without sacrificing softness and shine. The caveat? It recently was discontinued. The good news? I've found a replacement that's even better.

I like to spritz this texturizer on my mid-lengths to ends after adding waves to my hair with a flat iron. Then, I break up the waves further by mussing them up with my fingertips. The formula adds grit for hold, but it doesn't make my hair color dull like other sprays can. Plus, the keratin makes my hair look more voluminous and full, when in reality it is very straight and flat. One word of advice for those influenced to try this texturizer: the spray is really powerful, so don't hold it too close to your hair or you will have to rewash sooner than you planned.

As previously stated, tousled hair isn't actually effortless. It also doesn't come free. In the case of this texturizing spray, bedhead waves will set you back $53. But hear me out: this formula checks off all the requirements I look for in a texturizing product, a little truly does go a long way, and it was the first spray I tried after I ran out of my former favorite.
