Giving Tuesday at Norwalk Catholic
Nov. 27—NORWALK — Tuesday, Nov. 29, is Giving Tuesday at Norwalk Catholic. The day marks the school's need as a part of a broader national collective that was started to inspire and build generosity in everyday life.
In September, the school held a 24-hour virtual fundraiser that raised just over $20,000 and has already been put to valuable use purchasing equipment for safety gaps around the campus.
November's need is even more immediate. The school has set a lofty goal to double our donations to be able to purchase a new van or large SUV to transport small groups of students to-and-from school activities beginning this winter. The current vehicle, a 2008 Chevy Express, which seats eight, is unreliable and in need of major repairs. A new or gently-used, 9-person vehicle will allow the school to transport its precious cargo safely to school activities.
In this season of generosity, Norwalk Catholic has announced one of its long-time business supporters has stepped up to match the funds raised Tuesday, up to $25,000.
