GIRLS HOCKEY: Bemidji's Chloe Hasbargen honored by Minnesota Wild

Jan. 26—BEMIDJI — Chloe Hasbargen's impact has reached the NHL.

The Bemidji High School girls hockey senior was recognized by the Minnesota Wild as part of their Hockey Captain Spotlight program. The program honors two high school hockey captains per month, and Hasbargen was selected as the female winner for January.

The Wild consider and choose candidates based on the following criteria: demonstrating a passion for the sport of hockey; exemplifying leadership and hard work on the ice and in the classroom; contributing to one's local community; and going above and beyond to help create a greater State of Hockey.

On the ice, Hasbargen has a team-high seven goals and team-high six assists for 13 points this season.

The program runs from November through March. The 10 total honorees receive a custom Wild jersey, will be highlighted on social media and the team's website throughout the month of their nomination, and will receive two tickets to the team's home game against Vancouver on March 24.

Cody Domagalski of Eastview was the male selection in the month of January. The other winners include Sami Bowlby (Burnsville) and Aiden Atkinson (Waconia) in December, and Aleah Bienek (Crookston) and Turner Marr (Buffalo) in November.
