Girls basketball: Webster County hits nine 3-pointers in 60-22 blowout win over Murray

MURRAY, Ky. -- Webster County hit nine 3-pointers and Murray managed just four points in the first half as the Lady Trojans cruised to a 60-22 road win on Friday.

Webster County (12-7) led 21-2 at the end of the first quarter and 35-4 at the half.

Hannah Yates and Katelyn Cates hit three 3-pointers apiece to lead the Lady Trojans' offense. Yates scored a team-high 13 points, while Cates scored 11. Mary Kate Rakestraw added 10 points.

Mylee Smith led Murray (3-12) with seven points.

Webster County's next game will be Feb. 4 at home against Union County.
