Girl Scouts start cookie drive Friday

Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois will start taking orders Friday for their annual cookie sales.

Consumers can support local Girl Scout entrepreneurs by purchasing their favorite cookies online and in person.

Cookies are $5 per box and include traditional cookies like Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs, as well as Adventurefuls, a new creation with caramel-flavored creme and a hint of sea salt. Gluten-free Toffee-tastics are $6 per package.

Beginning Feb. 18, cookie orders will arrive and cookie booths will begin sales.

If you do not know a Girl Scout, visit www.GirlScoutsToday.org. A digital map is available for customers to select a nearby troop to order cookies online.
