A multiple-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 early Monday resulted in the death of a Georgia man, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers.
Jonathan L. Lowe, 32, of Austell, Georgia, was killed when the 2006 Honda Accord he was driving struck a concrete median barrier and overturned.
His car was then hit by a 2017 Lincoln MKX driven by Cynthia Chapple, 57, of Atlanta, and a 2012 Freightliner commercial truck driven by Anthony Williams, 56, of Jackson, Mississippi.
Lowe was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, troopers said, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred at about 4:45 a.m. on I-20 near the 147-mile marker, about 3 miles southeast of Moody in St. Clair County.
State troopers continue to investigate.
