George Pickens with pretty toe-tap for a Steelers touchdown

George Pickens has been the talk of Pittsburgh Steelers camp and it didn’t take long for the second-round pick to show why Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Pickens, who played college ball at Georgia, caught a pass from Mason Rudolph and did a beautiful toe-tap in the back of the end zone for the six points. The play was good for 26 yards and after the PAT Pittsburgh had a 14-0 lead.

Rudolph has already praised Pickens, who tore his ACL in the spring of 2021 with the Dawgs.

He returned to play in the final four games, catching 5 passes and recorded a 52-yard reception in Georgia’s win over Alabama in the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship game.

“I’ve watched the way George, as well as Calvin (Austin III), as well as a lot of younger players have come in and worked and been hungry,” Rudolph said on an interview with Jim Colony of 93.7 The Fan. “… And I think George has a lot of ability and I think he keeps his head on straight, which you know he’s a good kid, he’s gonna make a lot of plays.”
