Gavin & Stacey's Joanna Page is pregnant with her fourth child.

Surprised to say the least, the Welsh actress announced this heartwarming news on Twitter yesterday (August 3), writing: "Well this is a surprise! Baby number 4 on the way! It's going to be a busy Christmas!"

Alongside the caption, she posted a picture of herself in a flowy white dress with a bit of a baby bump already showing.

Page and her husband John Thornton are already parents to an 8-year-old daughter, and two sons aged 4 and 6.

Back in November, the Stacey Shipman star explained how she nearly lost out on her most famous role.

"I walked out of the [Dirty Dancing on the West End] audition [in 2006] and onto the Strand and burst out crying, hysterically sobbing. I thought I would never work as an actress again.

"I just got drunk and cried all night. I was like, 'That's it, I'm giving up,'" she recalled.

"I don't think I've ever done an audition that hard. But something better came along. Imagine I'd got Dirty Dancing and the part of Stacey had gone to another actress!"

Gavin & Stacey is available to watch on iPlayer.
