First period
UND 1, Quinnipiac 0 — Matteo Costantini 7:44. Although the opening eight minutes of the game are all Quinnipiac, UND ends up taking the initial lead. Costantini lifted the stick of a Quinnipiac player in the neutral zone to create a turnover. Costantini took the puck into the zone on the left wing and snapped a shot from the left circle far side on Quinnipiac goalie Yaniv Perets.

UND 1, Quinnipiac 1 — Oliver Chau (Brendan Less, Ethan De Jong) 12:51. Quinnipiac finally gets rewarded for its good work in the opening 13 minutes of the game and Less hits Chau for a backdoor tap in on a rush.
Second period
Quinnipiac 2, UND 1 — Joey Cipollone (Ethan Leyh, Zach Metsa) 5:35. UND defenseman Jake Sanderson rims the puck around the boards, but Metsa pinches in to hold the puck in the zone before it got to Jackson Kunz, then Metsa gave it to Leyh. He spotted Cipollone battling for position at the top of the crease and made the feed to Cipollone, who threw a no-look backhand just inside the post.
Quinnipiac 3, UND 1 — Jayden Lee (Michael Lombardi, Ethan Leyh) 10:43 (pp). Quinnipiac converts on its fourth power-play chance of the night. Lombardi has the puck in the circle, when Sanderson gets his stick on a passing attempt, but the puck goes right to Lee, who rifles home his first goal of the year.
