GameCenter final: BSU 4, UND 3, OT

Oct. 17—Bemidji State beats UND 4-3 in the series finale on an overtime goal by Ross Armour.

First period

Bemidji State 1, UND 0 — Kyle Looft (Alex Ierullo, Owen Sillinger) :47 . UND is playing from behind for the second night in a row as Looft flips a point shot through a screen and past Driscoll just 47 seconds into the game.

Bemidji State 2, UND 0 — Tyler Kirkup 1:28. UND forward Louis Jamernik leaves a pass for defenseman Cooper Moore, but Moore can't corral it and the puck sits in the slot for Kirkup to pick up and snipe the glove-side corner of the net. It's his second goal in two nights.

Bemidji State 2, UND 1 — Ashton Calder (Connor Ford, Chris Jandric) 3:13. Jandric starts a rush up the ice and leaves a drop pass for Ford, who is trailing the play. Ford moves it to Calder who snaps a shot five-hole on Beaver goalie Michael Carr.

Bemidji State 3, UND 1 — Tyler Kirkup (Alex Adams, Lukas Sillinger) 17:39. Right after Gavin Hain almost scores on one end, the Beavers take the puck the other way and add to the lead. Adams is tied up by Moore on a rush, but manages to spin and fire a cross-crease pass toward Kirkup. The pass gets through Ethan Frisch and to Kirkup, who doesn't get all of it, but enough to send it into the open side of the net.

Second period

Bemidji State 3, UND 2 — Riese Gaber (Louis Jamernik, Cooper Moore) 6:11. UND is buzzing the opening six minutes of the second period and gets something to show for it when Jamernik attempts a wraparound. He is denied, but Gaber whacks at the rebound and scores his second of the season.

Pregame notes

UND has a couple of lineup changes. Carson Albrecht is in for Griffin Ness on the third line. Luke Bast takes Brent Johnson's place on the third defensive pairing. Dane Montgomery moves into the extra skater spot and will make his regular-season NCAA debut. . . Gavin Enright, who started in goal for Bemidji State on Friday night, is not dressed tonight. He looked like he was hurting during the third period. Michael Carr will start for the Beavers and Mattias Sholl will serve as backup. Carr started the preseason exhibition game in The Ralph and Bemidji State's season-opener against Minnesota Duluth. . . Bemidji State's left wingers Jakub Lewandowski and Lukas Sillinger flipped spots. The Beavers also changed their fourth-line right wing and their extra skater.
