The FSU Credit Union Panama City branch had held a soft opening in September to familiarize the new team with the environment before the grand opening.

The new branch offers full services, including a lobby, a drive-thru and a 24-hour ATM. This is FSU Credit Union's ninth location throughout North Florida.

In 2020, FSU Credit Union merged with Gulf Power Company Employees Credit Union (GPCECU) but was a smaller branch within GPCECU. This new branch coincided with the closing of the GPCECU, a Division of FSU Credit Union, with a branch previously located on East 15th Street inside Gulf Power Company.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to not only offer the members who joined the FSU Credit Union family from the GPCECU merger additional services and conveniences, but also to be able to serve new members in the Panama City area,” said FSU Credit Union President/CEO Chuck Adcock.

FSU Credit Union memberships previously were offered only to those affiliated with Florida State University. The credit union now has an open membership available for individuals who live or work in any of 17 Florida counties — Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Franklin, Gadsden, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Taylor, Wakulla, Walton and Washington.

“We are proud as a credit union to offer better services to our members. We think of premier membership service because we value our members and help them with their financial journey,” said Jessie Watson, FSU Credit Union marketing director.
