Friday's Top Prep Performers from basketball, soccer and water polo

Highlights from Friday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Dominik Contreras finished with 12 points and four assists, Marcos Ramirez had 11 points, Jacob Terrill and EJ Gomez each scored 10 points, Nathaniel Gomez had nine points, and Matthew Samaan added seven points as Oxnard (24-2, 12-0) clinched at least a share of the Channel League championship with a 74-18 win over Dos Pueblos. The Yellowjackets have won outright or shared league titles in 19 of the last 25 seasons and their 43-game league winning streak is the fourth-longest in county history. Oxnard can clinch the outright title by winning one of its last two league games, at Ventura on Monday or home vs. Buena on Wednesday.

  • Zane Carter scored a game-high 22 points, Luke Ortiz finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, Daniel Ortiz had 11 points, Colin Guenther had eight points, seven assists and three steals, and Josh Ullegue added seven points and three assists to lead second-place Buena (23-2, 10-2) to a 72-61 win over rival Ventura in a Channel League game. The 23 wins are tied for second-most by a Buena team. The program record is 24, set by the 1984-85 team that reached the CIF-SS Division 4A semifinals. Travis Valenzuela scored 14 points, Caleb Sebek had 11 points, Jake Auster and Finn Fancher each had nine points, Nick Anter had seven points, and Jack Rose had six points for the Cougars (6-19, 1-11).

  • David Williams finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals, Nathan Duarte had 11 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists, Rodney Adams Jr. had seven points and eight rebounds, Jackson Knowles contributed seven points and two steals, and Kamden Kiech had seven points, five rebounds and three steals to lead Rio Mesa (13-12, 6-5) to a 53-31 win over Pacifica (7-18, 1-10) in a Channel League game.

  • Austin Maziasz finished with 27 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals, Danny Bao had 12 points and four rebounds, Braylon Butout scored 11 points, Dante Deshautelle had 10 points, and Kayden Elsokary had 11 rebounds and six assists as Westlake (15-11, 3-5) knocked Thousand Oaks out of first place in the Marmonte League with a 68-56 victory. Elias Chin scored 26 points, Jacob Kjarval had 14 points and Cole Caudill added nine points for the Lancers (19-6, 6-2), who fell a game behind Agoura in the standings.

  • Nasir Meyer scored 26 points, Zane Miller had 14 points, Iggy Spayne had 11 points and Zach Ourfalian added seven points as Agoura took sole possession of first place in the Marmonte League with a 58-42 win over Oaks Christian. The Chargers (17-8, 7-1) have a game lead over Thousand Oaks with two league games left in the regular season, including a showdown at the Lancers on Tuesday. Stevie Prudholme scored nine points, Isayah Garcia had eight points, Nick Giarrusso had seven points, Stevie Amar had six points, and Julez Smith added four points for the Lions (18-8, 3-5).

  • Gavin Murphy scored 28 points, Peter Gray had 12 points, Darius Baharlo had 10 points, and Sasha Sorkin added nine points to lead third-place Calabasas (17-8, 5-3) to a 75-63 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game. Cooper Lucas and Charlie Muir each finished with 15 points and Jace Birdsong and Noah Cotton each had nine points for the Panthers (14-12, 0-8).

  • Isaiah Sherrard finished with 29 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks, Trey McDonald had nine points and four assists, and Dylan Hayse contributed eight points and 10 rebounds to lead first-place Oak Park (16-9, 6-0) to a 52-45 win over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League game. Braeden Kyle had 13 points and three rebounds and Drake Howarth had 11 points and four rebounds for the Musketeers (6-19, 1-6).

  • Chase Aronowitz scored 18 points, Tyler Hook finished with 12 points, Jack Bannon had 10 points, Marcos Jaquez contributed seven points, and Josh Castaniero and Jack Bannon each added six points to lead Camarillo (15-11, 3-3) to a 53-38 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League game. Ace Arnold scored 12 points and Parker Hill had 11 points for the Highlanders (8-19, 1-6).

  • Dylan Benner had 25 points and five rebounds, Mathew Wilson scored nine points, Nico Macias had eight points, and Sam Seiden had six points and eight assists to lead St. Bonaventure (17-8, 5-1) to a 67-47 win over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Willem Rutherford scored 22 points and Beckham Rutherford had 16 points to lead first-place Nordhoff (18-6, 9-1) to a 61-39 win over Channel Islands in a Citrus Coast League game. Da'shaye Williams had 18 points and five rebounds, Javon Bobbsemple had seven points and seven rebounds, and Franky Tzintzun grabbed six rebounds for the Raiders (8-17, 5-6).

  • William Caceres scored 32 points to lead Malibu (8-8, 5-4) to a 68-30 win over Fillmore in a Citrus Coast League game. Isaac Weslow had eight points, seven rebounds and two blocks and Jack Morris and Jacob Munoz each scored six points for the Flashes (10-11, 6-4).

  • Jeremiah De Santiago finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds, Andrew Mojica had 10 points and five rebounds, Jordan Ramirez had seven points and six rebounds, and Nathan Perez added seven points to lead Santa Paula (8-8, 7-3) to a 44-41 win over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.

  • Ashton Brown hit 10 3-pointers and set a program single-game record with 39 points for Foothill Tech in its 81-76 overtime loss to first-place Dunn (7-5, 5-1) in a Frontier League game. Gavin Graves had 15 points and Sam Noah had 13 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds for the Dragons (10-14, 2-3). Latif Diouf scored a whopping 52 points for Dunn.

  • Brady Crawford had 13 points and nine rebounds, Gavin Day finished with nine points, seven rebounds and seven assist, Jomari Ong had nine points and three rebounds, and Ethan Day had seven points and three assists for Villanova Prep in its 59-45 loss to Cate.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Lola Donez scored 20 points, Makena Melito finished with nine points and 12 rebounds, and Faith O’Daniel added six points to lead first-place Oaks Christian (17-5, 8-0) to a 42-31 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League game.

  • Keilani Peralta finished with 18 points, Emily Lim scored 12 points, Christa Contreras had 11 points, Victoria Luna had 10 points, and Makenna Phelan added six points to lead Camarillo (14-10, 5-1) to a 65-25 win over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League game.

  • Ella Shmool had 10 rebounds and two assists, Joely Chadwick had nine rebounds and two assists, Ella Broms had seven rebounds and two assists, Jaelah Brown had six rebounds and four assists, Delaney White had five rebounds and six assists, and Lindsay Gould had five rebounds and three assists to lead first-place Oak Park (12-11, 6-0) to a 66-17 win over Moorpark in Coastal Canyon league game.

  • Tyler Nagel had a goal and assist, Michael Mariscal, Max Fernandez and Aiden Trahan scored goals, and Michael Bjordhal and Vaughn Gomez-Smith had assists to lead Camarillo (6-8-4, 3-2-1) to a 4-2 win over Royal (6-12-3, 0-6-1) on Senior Night in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Jaden Nachimzon converted a penalty kick in the 79th minute and Cooper McAllister earned the shutout in net to lift Westlake (11-6-5, 4-1-2) to a 1-0 win over Thousand Oaks (9-8-2, 3-5-0) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Calabasas (4-9-3, 2-5-1) defeated Newbury Park 2-1 in a Marmonte League match. Brady Gabler scored the goal for the Panthers (5-4-3, 3-3-2).

  • Arnulfo Zepeda had a goal and an assist, Jesus Angel Avila scored a goal and Diego Alcaraz had an assist to lead Fillmore (9-7-3, 6-2-2) to a 2-1 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League match.

  • Benjamin Aguilar scored the game-winning goal to lead Channel Islands (11-4-3, 7-3-1) to a 2-1 win over Nordhoff (9-5-1, 5-4-1) in a Citrus Coast League match.

  • Abraham Valdez, Angel Mosqueda and Christian Salcedo scored goals to lead first-place Santa Paula (8-5-2, 7-1-0) to a 3-0 win over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League match.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Berkley Mape scored two goals and Sarah Spear and Avery Oder had goals to lead first-place Oaks Christian (15-2-1, 8-0-0) to a 4-1 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League match. Lillian Werner scored the goal for the Chargers (8-5-2, 3-4-1).

  • Saylin Cutler, Layla Simon, Grace Wetzel and Lex Sahagian scored goals and KK Chowana finished with three assists to lead Westlake (12-1-2, 6-1-1) to a 4-1 win over Thousand Oaks (2-11-3, 0-5-3) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Siena Meyer and Annabelle York scored goals and Mia York had an assist to lift Newbury Park (7-9-0, 2-6-0) to a 2-1 win over Calabasas (7-6-5, 1-4-3) in a Marmonte League match.

  • Anneliese Wong and Shenoah Rueckert scored goals, Kaylie Clem had an assist, and Jessica Heybl posted the shutout in net to lead first-place Camarillo (9-3-0, 6-0-0) to a 2-0 win over Royal (4-12-1, 1-6-0) in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Moorpark (11-4-0, 6-1-0) defeated Oak Park 2-1 in a Coastal Canyon League match. Sydney Robertson scored a goal off an assist from Macie Baird and Ainsley Gove made some key saves for the Eagles (9-6-0, 3-3-0).

  • Marlene González finished with two goals and an assist, Karissa Terrazas had a goal and an assist, Victoria Piña, Jennifer Abrego and Athena Sanchez scored goals, and Lizbeth Méndez had an assist to lead Fillmore (8-6-0, 6-3-0) to a 6-1 win over Malibu in a Citrus Coast League match.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Elana Minoofar, Riya Korde and Taylor Credle each scored four goals, Sophia Demian had two goals, Victoria Ioannou had a goal, and Abby Shapiro made 10 saves to lead Calabasas to a 15-5 win over Moorpark.
