GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

RADIO: WGCL 1370 AM/98.7 FM; WVNI 95.1 FM.

TWITTER: @JimGordillo.

COACHES: Maynard Lewis, 62-81 in 6th year at Terre Haute South. J.R. Holmes, 729-231 in 40th year at Bloomington South, 872-349 in 52nd year overall.

LAST OUTING: Terre Haute South lost to Bloomington North, 67-44. Bloomington South defeated Martinsville, 48-35.

SERIES LAST 35 YEARS: Bloomington South, 17-5.

LAST MEETING: Bloomington South, 59-40, Jan. 29, 2021.

OUTLOOK: Bloomington South has a four-game win streak going into this Conference Indiana contest. The Panthers had Brock Kincaid for only one of those wins (at Castle), but saw Patrick Joyce, Gavin Wisley and Coleman Oliphant all reach double figures last weekend. THS will have two burly big men to deal with in 6-5 Jude McCoskey and 6-3 TJ Wilson but the Braves have dropped nine straight and are 0-6 vs. 4A competiton.

Edgewood (7-9) at West Vigo (10-5)

GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

COACHES: Matt Wadsworth, 36-32 in 3rd year at Edgewood, 177-160 in 15th year overall. Joe Boehler, 161-160 in 14th year at West Vigo.

LAST OUTING: Edgewood lost to Bedford North Lawrence, 56-45. West Vigo defeated Indian Creek, 63-59.

SERIES LAST 35 YEARS: Edgewood, 26-13.

LAST MEETING: West Vigo, 55-46, Jan. 29, 2021.

OUTLOOK: Edgewood will look to snap a fourth two-game losing skid this season. It figures to be tightly contested. The Vikings are giving up just 48.8 ppg, but score just 51.1 and come in 5-2 in WIC play. Edgewood is averaging just 1 ppg more than its foes. Last outing, West Vigo let a 23-point lead over Indian Creek shrink to just one before rehanging on. Connor Martin and Whyatt Easton had 18 points each.

Lighthouse Christian (11-5) at Providence Cristo Rey (0-10)

GAME TIME: 7:30 p.m.

COACHES: Jeff Mills, 11-5 in 1st year at Lighthouse. Dominic Papalia, 0-10 in 1st year at Cristo Rey.

LAST OUTING: Lighthouse defeated Dugger Union, 50-41. Cristo Rey lost to Indianapolis Tech, 99-42.

SERIES LAST 35 YEARS: Providence Cristo Rey, 10-6.

LAST MEETING: Cristo Rey, 53-39, Feb. 26, 2021.

OUTLOOK: Lighthouse had gotten on a roll in January, winning six straight, it's longest streak since 2015-16. The Lions won four all of last year. Cristo Rey is scoring just 46 ppg and fiving up 74, but the schedule has been brutal: Indianapolis Tech, a 13-1 Chatard team and 10-4 Indianapolis Washington. So this will be a tougher test than the records might indicate. The Wolves haven't played in 10 days after losing its opener in the City Tournament.
