Friday's high school scores: D-R softball soars over Apponequet

DIGHTON — It was Senior Night for Dighton-Rehoboth softball Friday, and the team's two seniors stepped up to the occasion.

The Falcons dominated Apponequet 17-0 in four and a half innings of South Coast Conference action to improve to 12-5 on the season.

Eliana Raposo had another strong showing in the circle as she went five shutout innings giving up no hits and two walks while striking out 11 and also went one-for-four at the plate with an RBI and a pair of runs. Fellow senior Caitlin Morgado went one-for-two with a run and pair of RBIs.

Caleigh Cloonan led the way for the D-R offense as she went two-for-four with three runs and a pair of RBIs while Haleigh Kelley went two-for-three with three runs, Maddie Kelley went two-for-three a run and two RBIs and Lucy Latour went one-for-two with three runs and three RBIs.

The Falcons return to action Tuesday when they'll face Seekonk in the regular season finale.

Southeastern 10, Bristol-Plymouth 7

The Lady Craftsmen fell to the Hawks on the road in Mayflower League action and are now 7-7 on the season.

B-P returns to action Monday when they travel to Dudley to face Shepherd Hill.

BASEBALL

Dighton-Rehoboth 10, Apponequet 3

The Falcons downed the Lakers on the road in SCC action to improve to 11-6 on the season.

Tied 3-3 heading into the top of the seventh, D-R scored seven runs to secure the win.

Sam Watts tossed a complete game striking out six while Myles Mendoza had three hits and an RBI while Ben Miller had a pair of runs and RBIs each and Jayden LaFleur had a solo home run.

The Falcons return to action Monday when they host Greater New Bedford.

BOYS LACROSSE

Cape Cod Tech 10, Bristol-Plymouth 4

The Craftsmen fell to Crusaders at home in MAC action and are now 2-15 overall.

B-P returns to action Monday when they'll face Nauset in their season finale.

Old Rochester 10, Dighton-Rehoboth 4

The Falcons fell to the Bulldogs on the road in SCC action and are now 11-3 overall.

D-R returns to action Monday when they head to New Bedford.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Martha's Vineyard 12, Bristol-Plymouth 1

The Lady Craftsmen fell to the Vineyarders on the road in non-league action and are now 7-11 on the season.

B-P returns to action Monday when they travel to Dighton-Rehoboth.

Old Rochester 17, Dighton-Rehoboth 5

The Falcons fell to the Bulldogs at home in SCC action and are now 7-7 on the season.

Mara Levesque and Karina Bosco each had a pair of goals for D-R while Lily Nees had a goal and an assist.

The Falcons return to action Monday when they face Bristol-Plymouth.
