Martinsville (3-12) at Perry Meridian (4-13)

Tip: 6:00 p.m.

Coaches: Dave Dorsett, 19-17 in 2nd year at Martinsville, 32-44 in 4th year overall. Amanda Davidson, 4-13 in 1st year at Perry Meridian.

Last outing: Martinsville lost to Ben Davis, 66-28. Perry Meridian lost to Speedway, 52-36.

Series last 20 years: Martinsville, 6-2.

Last meeting: Martinsville, 81-33, Jan. 22, 2021.

Outlook: Historically, Martinsville has had success over Perry Meridian, with Martinsville taking the last three by big margins. This season, the playing field is a bit more even, but that doesn't stop the fact this is a winnable matchup for the Artesians. The Falcons are reeling after a loss to Speedway, and as long as Martinsville can slow down scorer Maya Mundy, success should follow. However, Martinsville will need to get the offense clicking early.

Plainfield (12-6) at Mooresville (12-8)

Tip: 6:00 p.m.

Coaches: Curt Benge, 408-209 in 27th year at Plainfield. Mark Hurt, 422-153 in 24th year at Mooresville, 484-208 in 29th year overall.

Last outing: Plainfield defeated Tri-West, 57-50. Mooresville defeated Bloomington South, 45-31.

Series last 20 years: Mooresville, 23-8.

Last meeting: Plainfield, 53-47, OT, Feb. 2, 2021, sectional.

Outlook: Mooresville may hold the series by a large margin, but local rival Plainfield has started to improve as a unit themselves. The Pioneers early overtime exit to the Quakers in sectionals last season should provide plenty of motivation. If Mooresville can find consistency on offense, something they've struggle with this year, they should be able to take this one.

Eminence (10-6) at Greencastle (3-16)

Tip: 5:00 p.m.

Coaches: Kevin Corsaro, 27-50 in 4th year at Eminence, 30-70 in 5th year overall. Doug Greenlee, 3-16 in 1st year at Greencastle.

Last outing: Eminence defeated Irvington Prep Academy, 58-24. Greencastle lost to North Putnam, 51-15.

Series last 20 years: Eminence, 2-1.

Last meeting: Greencastle, 66-19, Jan. 22, 2021.

Outlook: Considering Greencastle (3A) is two classes bigger than Eminence, it's impressive the Eels hold a 2-1 all-time victory. This year, they have the chance to extend that to 3-1 with the Tiger Cubs enduring a down year. With the way Eminence's offense has been playing as of late, it's in the cards they take down Greencastle.

Northview (18-3) at Indian Creek (15-4)

Tip: 6:30 p.m.

Coaches: Zack Keyes, 98-64 in 7th year at Northview. Brian Ferris, 72-43 in 5th year at Indian Creek.

Last outing: Northview defeated Cloverdale, 52-27. Indian Creek defeated Indianapolis Herron, 71-17.

Series last 20 years: Indian Creek, 2-0.

Last meeting: Indian Creek, 55-46, OT, Jan. 22, 2021.

Outlook: This is the game of the year for the Western Indiana Conference, as its top two teams showdown in what should be an incredible battle. Both enter undefeated in conference play, and both have been on a roll. This one is a tossup, but the Braves will need to use their size advantage (Faith Wiseman) as well as get Lauren Foster going to counteract Knights' star guard Macey Timberman.

Greenwood (9-9) at Decatur Central (6-10)

Tip: 6:00 p.m.

Coaches: Justin Bennett, 21-61 in 4th year at Greenwood, 59-88 in 7th year overall. Daryl Gibbs, 54-75 in 6th year at Decatur Central.

Last outing: Greenwood defeated Eastern Greene, 37-23. Decatur Central lost to Lawrence Central, 72-26.

Series last 20 years: Greenwood, 9-7.

Last meeting: Greenwood, 50-47, Jan. 30, 2021.

Outlook: Decatur Central has been struggling on offense, and a matchup against Greenwood, who's held their last four opponents under 40 points, will certainly present a tall task. For the Hawks to have a shot, they will need to find their spots against a smothering Woodmen defense. Greenwood's press slows the tempo, and they're not very explosive on offense, so beating the press and making open shots will be the Hawks best way of winning.
