5 for Friday

Malaki Hamrick, Shelby: Against a vaunted Reidsville offense, a strong pass rush is a must. Hamrick, a North Carolina football recruit, leads Shelby with 97 tackles and 12.5 sacks this season.

Ny'Tavious Huskey, Crest: With all eyes on Crest leading rusher Mari Adams, Huskey's play becomes more pivotal to the Chargers' success. Through three playoff games, the sophomore has 551 total yards and four touchdowns since returning to the Crest starting lineup from an injury suffered against rival Shelby.

Elijah Phifer, South Point: The junior quarterback did not play in the Red Raiders' 27-26 loss at Crest earlier this season. In five games, he has rushed for 243 yards and four touchdowns, taking some of the pressure off of leading rusher Tyson Riley.

Daylin Lee, Shelby: The Golden Lions' junior quarterback has been a picture of efficiency this season, completing 64% of his passes for 3,077 yards, 42 touchdowns and four interceptions. Against a solid Reidsville defense, he'll need to be at his best Friday night.

Ryan Harris, South Point: A Luke Kuechly High School Defensive Player of the Year honoree, the Red Raiders' senior linebacker has 115 total tackles (three for a loss) and two sacks. He also has an interception, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
