Open house for Pastor McConnell

The Freeport Presbyterian Church will host an open house from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5 for Pastor Jim McConnell. He will be retiring after having served as pastor for 20 years in the Freeport and Nottingham churches. A light luncheon will be provided. A card basket will be available.

Christmas-related events

"Child of Christmas" will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Deersville United Methodist Church.

The Freeport United Methodist Church will hold "Christmas About Town" from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, with a live nativity and hot chocolate. The event will start at Muskingum Street and finish at the Freeport United Methodist Church.

Stine's annual Christmas craft event will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Freeport Fire House.

Clark Memorial Library

Clark Memorial Branch Library will also host Build a Pop-Tart Gingerbread House from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays in December. To make an appointment call 740-658-3855 or 740-673-0800.
