Genius. Pure genius. You know a Halloween costume is top-notch when you have to do a double take simply to wrap your brain around it.

Enter: Fred Sheeran.

No, that is not in fact Ed Sheeran, but man, does Leafs’ netminder Frederik Andersen ever look like him. From the hair and glasses, to the guitar and facial expression, Freddie nailed it.

Andersen’s costume even outdid the clear leader heading into tonight – someone who commanded loads of attention with multiple adorable costumes.

That’s right, Washington Capitals puppy Captain has been overtaken. We sure hope this isn’t the last we see of Fred Sheeran. Happy Halloween!
