Fourth of July weekend average gas prices in each state

Summer's pinnacle celebration has arrived

As Americans celebrate Independence Day, many eyes will be drawn away from the fireworks in the sky to the gas prices at the pump.

Since March, prices have seen drastic increases in each state as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions that followed put a monetary grip on oil prices worldwide.

And the pain at the pump has yet to settle.

June 2022 produced some of the highest numbers, with the national average at one point skyrocketing over $5 a gallon. And now, with little hopeful optimism left in the proverbial tank, the wary traveler looks to July as the summertime trips continue.
