Fort Collins Loveland under threat of hail, strong winds

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Fort Collins and the surrounding area.

The weather service issued the statement at 7:15 p.m. and said there is the threat of half-inch hail and wind up to 55 mph possible with the storm until 7:45 p.m.

The area under the threat includes, Fort Collins, Loveland, Timnath, Wellington, Livermore, Poudre Park, Masonville and Drake.

Strong thunderstorms are moving from the mountains to the foothills and Front Range at this time.

People should seek shelter if storm arrives.
