Former Texas wide receiver Marcus Washington to visit Nebraska

There has been a  massive influx of players coming and going out of the wide receiver room at Texas.

After being considered one of the weakest position groups (outside of Xavier Worthy) on the team in 2021, Steve Sarkisian made sure to bring in as much talent at the position as possible this offseason. The Longhorns landed Wyoming transfer Isaiah Neyor, Alabama transfer Agiye Hall, and even added a good pass catching tight end from Alabama in Jahleel Billingsley.

With all the new additions, some wide receivers that were on the team last season decided it was best that they look elsewhere to continue their playing careers. One of those players being former four-star Marcus Washington, who was sixth on the team in catches in 2021.

The now former Longhorn is on the search for a new home, and he may be following former quarterback Casey Thompson who transferred to Nebraska. It was reported by the Omaha World-Herald that Washington is set to visit Nebraska this weekend.

Washington and Nebraska do have some connections, as it was one of the three schools that he visited during his high school recruiting process.
