The one that got away continues to haunt the Philadelphia 76ers. After Jimmy Butler led the Miami Heat past the Sixers to eliminate them in the semifinals, the former Sixers All-Star put on a show in the Eastern Conference finals on Tuesday night.

Butler scored 41 points on 12-for-19 shooting with nine rebounds and five assists as the Heat knocked off the Boston Celtics at home in Game 1 by a score of 118-107. Butler continues to take his game to another level when the time calls for it and it’s something that Philadelphia has been missing since his departure in 2019. Miami is now three wins away from their second NBA finals appearance in three seasons with Butler at the helm.

While Butler is on the Heat’s side of things, another former Sixer is in this series, Al Horford for the Celtics. Horford wasn’t able to play in this one due to being in the health and safety protocols. This is once again Butler’s time as he has proven so many times in his career.
