Former Browns offensive coordinator interviewing with the Buccanneers

Former Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Todd Monken is eyeing an NFL return. The Georgia Bulldogs’ offensive coordinator is set to interview with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their offensive coordinator job. Monken spent one season with the Browns as the offensive coordinator under Freddie Kitchens in 2019. He joins Anthony Lynn as a second former Cleveland assistant to get an offensive coordinator interview this week.

Monken was on record about how dysfunctional that season was in the Browns’ history under Freddie Kitchens. Some even wondered what exactly Monken did on Kitchens staff. Once Kitchens was fired Monken went to Georgia and has had plenty of success as a part of two championship teams the past two seasons. Monken was the offensive coordinator in Tampa before joining the Browns.
