A plethora of Class of 2023 recruits pledge to play football at Texas over a busy weekend
For the Texas Longhorns, a big day on the recruiting trail was followed by a busy weekend.
Six rising seniors announced this weekend that they will play football at Texas. On Saturday, linebacker Liona Lefau pledged to the Longhorns. Texas then received five commitments Sunday from wide receiver Jonah Wilson and offensive linemen Jaydon Chatman, Connor Stroh and Andre Cojoe, and added another lineman Sunday night.
This weekend's flurry of commitments came on the heels of Thursday's news that five-star quarterback Arch Manning had committed to Texas. With a recruiting class that now has 14 players, Texas climbed 14 spots to No. 5 on 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2023 recruiting class. After Manning's commitment, Texas was No. 19.
