Golden State’s Steph Curry is two-time MVP, three-time NBA champion and one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.

But what Curry has accomplished this month with his shooting and scoring is remarkable even measured against himself.

“I've seen Kobe Bryant early in his career, had a stretch where he went nuts," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "Obviously, Michael Jordan had some stretches where he just scored like crazy, but obviously nobody's ever shot the ball like this in the history of the game. Even by Steph's own lofty standards, this is above and beyond.”

Above and beyond and downright magical.

He is the rare MVP candidate playing for a ninth-place team trying to eke into the playoffs.

His play is appointment viewing. If you’re not tuning in to see what Curry is doing, you’re missing one of the league’s greatest shooting exhibitions.

Here’s a look at what Curry has done this season, including a close-up look at his past 10 games:

In the Steph Curry-era where 3-point attempts per game have nearly doubled (18.1 to 34.6 this year), what he's accomplished in just one week might not seem that remarkable on its face.

He made 10 or more 3-pointers in four of the Warriors five games between April 12 to April 19. Since the NBA added 3-point shots in 1979, only one other player has had more than three double-digit, 3-point games in their careers.

During his 10-game run, Curry has accumulated 72 3-pointers — the most in that span in NBA history. He's been on an even more frenetic pace in the last five games, hitting 46 3-pointers or 9.2 per game.

Curry's shot charts during the past 10 days

Curry's 40.8-point scoring average during the past 10 days has helped him maintain the scoring lead by a few percentage points over the Wizard's Bradley Beal, who Curry faces tonight in Washington.

When you talk about NBA greats now, Curry has shot his way into the conversation.

He has 11 consecutive games with 30 or more points – the longest 30-point streak by a player 33 years are older, surpassing Kobe Bryant. He's also among Hall-of-Fame company with 40-point scoring efforts.

His prolific scoring in his 12 NBA seasons (two significantly limited by injuries) have lifted Curry to 75th on the all-time scoring list, according to the NBA.

Curry trails nine active players on the career scoring list with 17,989 points. LeBron James leads all active players with 35,283 points. But it's Curry's offensive productivity per minute that puts him among a who's who of past and present NBA greats.
