"We are so excited to bring back our Sensory Friendly Holiday Event this year," said Lindsey Esker, manager, rehabilitation. Hosted by the Fisher-Titus Pediatric Therapy Autism Spectrum Kids program, the event will have:

—Cookies

—Holiday Crafts

—Photos with Santa

—Sensory Friendly Showing of "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

—Attendees will enjoy cookies, holiday crafts, and photos with Santa from 10-11 a.m. before the sensory-friendly showing of "A Charlie Brown Christmas" at 11:30 a.m.

This special event is modified so that children on the autism spectrum and with other disabilities will not become overstimulated or overwhelmed. Sensory-friendly features include:

—Sensory break areas for any children who are scared or anxious

—Movie side lights left on and sound turned down

—Ability to get up, talk, dance, and move around during the movie
