FC HOOPS: S.C., Western cruise to victories

Dec. 4—GREENWICH — The South Central boys basketball team jumped out to a 19-7 lead and never looked back in Friday's blowout win over visiting New London in Firelands Conference action.

Isaac Blair scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting for South Central (3-0, 1-0), while Sam Seidel had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Kayden Hauler added eight points, and Hagen Adams grabbed 16 rebounds.

Jamil Arnold scored 12 points for the Wildcats (0-3, 0-1).

COLLINS — Balanced scoring led the Roughriders to a win in their Firelands Conference opener.

Camden Hankins scored 13 points, including hitting three shots from beyond the arc. Carson Roe added 12 points and seven rebounds, and Aiden Edwards had 11 points.

Jude Muenz, Jacob Jarrett and Matt Jarrett all scored seven points apiece for Western.

The Roughriders won all four quarters in a comprehensive home effort against the Mounties, holding Mapleton to 31 percent shooting from the floor and 23 percent from distance.
